II Corinthians 4:5-7

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"...in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed My Voice." Genesis 22:18

"Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?" James 2:21

It is expected of you – even as of faithful Abraham – that you back up your faith by works (Rom. 4:2). Abraham was accepted and blessed and covenanted with BEFORE he offered up his son Isaac; but when he sealed his faith through works, then did the unstinted mercies of God multiply through blessings lavished on him and on his seed.

Of that have I previously written: "faith" is accepted by God. But when faith is sealed by works, then is a special and multiplied blessing lavished; and often a special "gift" (of the spirit).

"Faith without works is dead!" James 2:26

Had Gentile Christendom fully accepted the Son of God then would our peace and security remain like the everlasting hills. But because the "glad tidings" were warped to ghostly joys AFTER one is dead; so like unto Jerusalem have we been numbered to the sword.

Similarly unto the individual. He goes to church, getting brainwashed into ghostly expectations. Because the Savior is rejected for the Here and Now, so similarly does the Son of God turn His back on that "believer" – to get kicked about in the devil's kingdom during his here and now.
