II Corinthians 4:5-7

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." John 9:4-5

"But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken Me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee. Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them." I Samuel 8:6-9

"And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day." I Samuel 8:18

Greetings, my dearly beloved! Greetings of peace and joy and glad tidings of wonderfully good things! This is another day, and what a wonderful day it is going to be for all who know Jesus Christ as their Lord and God, as their Friend and Savior, even as their Everything. But should it so be that you personally are one of those whose life is not a symphony of joy from morning to night, then it is high time you wake up to what you have been missing. It is just as easy to be a son or daughter of Jesus Christ, and a citizen of the Kingdom of the heavens, as it is to be a dupe of Lucifer, and a citizen in the Devil's kingdom. Those who belong to the Devil's camp get knocked from pillar to post; they are under stress and harassment; they fret and even worry; they lie awake at night struggling with their problems; they plot and scheme; they struggle and sweat; they have all kinds of trouble and accidents; they get sick and are hospitalized; they suffer and grieve; they have sorrow and tragedy and ultimately get swallowed up in the blackness of death. But hear my words of warning, even though they may shock you terrifically: the bulk of these people who are citizens of Lucifer's kingdom, and go through life in the fashion I have just mentioned, are what we call Christians, many of whom may attend church regularly, and confess their faith towards God, and even believe that through Jesus Christ they are going to get pie in the sky after they die. Hear The Voice of Tomorrow: the sad fact remains that they are citizens of Lucifer's kingdom!

In the other camp are the sons and daughters of Jesus Christ (but oh, how small it is!), who have been born anew into the Kingdom of God, and who live as citizens of the Kingdom of the heavens. These children of Christ our Lord never fret or worry; they are never under stress or strain; they do not know the meaning of disappointment or failure; they never have any maddening problems; seldom are they sick, and when they are it is of a minor nature, or they receive a speedy healing. But the one sad fact about this Kingdom of Jesus Christ, as at the present time, is the smallness of His camp; the fewness of those who dwell therein. All of which can be explained by, and links up with, the prophecies by the Lord Jesus Christ in the days of His flesh, when He said that He was the light of the world while in the world, but that night would come at His departure, wherein no one could work (Jn. 9:4-5), and that during that night the enemy would steal in and sow the tares (Matt. 13:25). Christendom ate of this tare-seed, which is a counterfeit wheat and poisonous by nature. As a consequence, Christendom became sick and blind, even so blind that they have accepted Lucifer's interpretations of the words of Jesus Christ. As a consequence, they are now living in the camp of Lucifer as citizens of the Devil, doing his will and bidding cheerfully, believing that is the way and Will of Christ our Lord.

It might be very difficult for me to prove to your satisfaction that my statements are the true and correct ones, but it is a very simple matter to prove that many of the teachings of the churches – regardless of the name by which you call them – are not the true teachings of Jesus Christ. Because of that I earnestly counsel you to take serious stock of what you believe, and pay careful attention to what I tell you, because, in the clearest of language I can command I say: today you cannot find the complete, true teachings of Jesus Christ in any church you go to, regardless of its name. And this is the proof of my statement: in the days of His flesh, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, opened His spiritual eye and looked down upon the centuries of time and the generations which were to be born, until the very time of His return to earth; and these are the sad words He prophesied: "But indeed! When the Son of man returns, shall He find the faith on earth?" (Lk. 18:8). Those words clearly show us that He foresaw how His teachings and sayings would be so interpreted by Lucifer, that He would have to search high and low, near and far away, but all in vain for His true teachings. But because He put it in the form of a question, that implies that the fullness of truth would be found, but not commonly taught. That is, it would be in existence, but not commonly known. However, if you were to look up that passage in your own Bible you will find that the English text reads: "…shall He find faith on the earth?"

In my previous quotation a moment ago, I used the definite article preceding "faith": that is, "the" faith – naturally, that faith which He delivered unto His disciples. But in the Authorized Version and most extant, it simply reads "faith," instead of "the faith." My quotation to you is from the original Greek, and the eight oldest Greek manuscripts in existence all agree on this one point: all have the definite article "the" preceding "faith." That means that our translators deliberately, for whatever reason, dropped out that definite word in order to give it a different meaning. Naturally, they had to do so for the simple reason that they had sense enough to realize that were they to put in the full truth, it would show up all of our churches and reveal that they have teachers from Lucifer's camp. Therefore, having the unequivocal word of Jesus Christ that His true teachings would not be commonly known in the day of His return, I warn you solemnly to pay careful attention to what I tell you; otherwise, it will go hard with you in that day when our Lord divides His sheep from the goats (Matt. 25:31-33).

I have been sharing about Old Testament characters: about Cain and Abel, about Noah and his Ark, and about Israel coming out of Egypt. This time I want to jump into the first Book of Samuel and chapter ten, from which I shall quote a few verses shortly. As I have repeatedly shared, the story of His ancient people constitutes a prophetic panorama for Christendom, showing us what sins we would fall into, what errors we would make, and what predicaments would overtake us. It is not that we had to commit the same sins as ancient Israel, but rather that God of old chose such characters, and placed them in the strategic positions at specified times: characters whom He knew would do certain things. Therefore, it is correct to say that God chose the required characters for the stage He had set, who would enact in a drama the correct and true prophetic picture of that which Christendom would do from its commencement until the day of Christ's return to earth.

Now from I Samuel 10:17- 19 I quote:

"And Samuel called the people together unto the LORD to Mizpeh; and said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you: and ye have this day rejected your God, Who Himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto Him, Nay, but set a king over us...."

I am not going to quote it all, but later at your own convenience it would be well to read all of I Samuel 8, wherein is detailed what the meaning and the consequence would be for His people's choosing themselves a king. But I will quote verse 18:

"And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day."

Remember those words, "And the Lord will not hear you in that day when you cry out unto Him." Why wouldn't the Lord hear them? For the simple reason that He had been their Deliverer and they His people from the day that He took them out of Egypt unto that very moment He was speaking to them through His Prophet Samuel. But the wonderful fact that God Almighty had been their Leader, their Keeper, and their Deliverer from every tribulation and adversity, and from all their enemies – that fact was not sufficient unto the carnally minded children of Israel. They wanted to be like the heathen tribes and nations; they wanted to "put on the dog," as we say; they wanted to adopt the ways of the world and live the way that did the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Persians and other nations. Therefore, because they rejected God as their true King and Keeper, then naturally He rejected them; that is why He would not hear them in the day that they would cry to Him.

That is precisely the same as we observe in any well-regulated family of today. If the parents are normal and good, and do their utmost for their children, then naturally they expect a certain measure of obedience and respect. If then, one or more of such children turn up their nose at the parents, and announce they have decided to join the camp of a gang of roughs and toughs on the other side of the tracks, and that they do, paying no attention to the warning by the parents, then they must take the consequence of their foolish decisions and willful conduct. Later on when they come to trouble and grief and cry unto their parents, they will find a much changed attitude. It is the same with God, for clearly are we told that God made man in His Own image, and after His Own likeness did He create us (Gen. 1:26-27).

What I've just quoted about the time that Israel chose a king for themselves was a perfect prophetic picture for Christendom. God taking Israel out of Egypt into the wilderness, was the shadow-picture of Christ our Lord on Calvary, delivering every believer from bondage to Lucifer and thralldom to the "Egypt" which is this world. Previous to Calvary's Cross, Jesus Christ performed those stupendous miracles by which man was to know that He had the power, and that He had come from very God. Although Moses performed many miracles, Pharaoh would not let Israel go until the Passover lamb had been killed; then did he boot them out in a hurry (Ex. 12:30-33).

So similarly in the days of the Lord Jesus: the miracles were not sufficient to command an absoluteness of faith, but when He became their Passover Lamb, and rose again out of the grave, triumphant over death, then did they know that He was the very Son of God. That faith had the delivering power. That it does have unto every believing Christian who has accepted Him as their personal Savior. But having been converted from the ways of the world into faith in Jesus Christ, and having experienced His delivering power from bondage to sin, Christians have – by and large – done the very same as Israel did in the days of Samuel. Although God through Christ may have proven Himself to them in various ways, yet in time they have decided that they want to live as does the rest of the world who have had no intimate and personal experience with Christ the Redeemer. So they commence taking out health insurance just in case they get sick, not believing that Christ is both able and willing to keep them; then they take out accident insurance like the rest of the world, doubting the willingness of the Lord to keep them whole and sound. And of course they take out life insurance, for they are certain that they are going to die. Then comes automobile insurance, and fire insurance, and maybe theft insurance, and every other invention according to the way of the pagan Gentiles in the camp of Lucifer. Then they join clubs and lodges, believing that it will help in making contacts and increasing their prestige. Then they must drive the latest model and biggest cars available, and they must have the latest TV set, in order to spend hours watching how crazy the people can be who belong to the camp of Lucifer, and to hear the cacophony spouting from the Pit. And, naturally, all these things must be bought on the strength of what they hope to earn tomorrow and next year. So the first thing they know, they have that accident or sickness they expected, because, since they rejected the keeping power of Christ the Lord, He lets them get their fill of Lucifer and his works. Although the insurance will cover much of the expenses incidental to the accident or sickness, income is still cut down drastically. So the first thing they know, they are not able to meet their monthly bills: they start to fret and worry. Soon some other trouble comes along and they really get into a sweat. Then they will likely have to borrow money in order to meet overdue bills. To borrow money they have to pay a very heavy premium. So although the loan staves off their troubles today, it adds to their burden of tomorrow. So their stress and strain increases, and God does no longer hear their cry. Soon they are under such stress and worry that they commence squabbling, and finally fighting among themselves: the happiness of their home is shattered. Under the stress of worry and a bad temper, they start building up for more sickness and disease, which will eventually ruin their entire life. Oh to be sure, they may be considered good Christians and attend church faithfully, but they have still copied every tactic in the camp of Lucifer, and accepted his interpretations of the words of Jesus Christ. And to them fulfills the prophetic Word of God: "When they cry unto Me, I will not hear them." What needless tragedy!

Whether we have a king or queen to reign over us, or a president – all of that is quite immaterial. As a consequence, our griefs and burdens of taxation are immensely greater than those which were outlined by Samuel in his time. But for the individual it is not the king, the queen, or the president, neither the matter of a Democratic or Republican government; but the far greater sin we have committed has been the choosing of the almighty dollar as our king and our god, and we have looked to the power of money to keep and deliver us. In so doing we have rejected the keeping and delivering power of Christ our King, and so we have fallen in the way of the Gentiles. Therefore do troubles come like a flood upon us; we cry to God, yet He will not hear because the entirety of our ways witness against us, declaring that we have rejected Christ our Lord – in accepting Lucifer's ways.

You were born into the kingdom of Lucifer; you have been taught in his ways; naturally, to you they seem right, even as one born in another land and brought up in their ways may think that our ways are all crazy. Similarly does Christendom – brought up in the kingdom of Lucifer – think their ways are right. Therefore is the gloriously liberating TRUTH-IN-CHRIST rejected.

How dumb can you be?

By His prophetic Spirit spoke His mouthpiece in the long ago: "WHO hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?" (Isa. 53:1).

Well might it be repeated: "How dumb can you be?"
