"…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." II Corinthians 6:2

In this lesson, The Voice of Tomorrow brings you a message of the signs of the times, the very days in which we live, and the things which are transpiring on earth. For, I want to show you a few of the things which are taking place, and how minutely they have been described in the Bible thousands of years ago. But, unfortunately, much of that which was written has as yet not been understood, for the simple reason that people like to run while they read, or probably try to understand the Bible while watching a TV show.

I would like you to take the Bible and turn to the Book of Acts, which is in the New Testament, and the 2nd chapter. I want you to watch the words carefully as I read them to you because unless we get the words precisely as they are, well, we just fail to understand what God intended to convey to us. So commencing reading from Acts 2 and verse 19 through 21:

"And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: and it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved."

The words that I have just read to you were spoken by the Apostle Peter on that day of Pentecost, ten days following the Lord's ascension into heaven, which Peter had witnessed. But actually, Peter was quoting from the Prophet Joel and the 2nd chapter, but just for the moment you need not take the time to refer to that. You can look that up at your convenience later. The words by Peter are the more complete, because although spoken by the same Spirit of God, we find that with the passage of time, occasionally some word gets dropped from the original text. There is an instance of that here where you will notice in the 19th verse, Peter speaks of signs in the earth BENEATH, while that one word BENEATH you will not find in the same prophecy as recorded in the second chapter of Joel.

Now let us take this prophecy, clause by clause and sentence by sentence, to examine it: that you may see for yourself how wonderfully the amazing developments of our modern age are in perfect agreement with the prophecy, thousands of years old. "I will show wonders in heaven above...." For thousands of years, Bible believers have been looking up, thinking that God would produce some sign visible to the human eye, somewhere in the sky or the heavens above us. As yet, by and large, people have failed to understand that God works through people. With that thought in mind, let us go back to the opening of the 20th century when man commenced to fly in the air by means of flying machines. Today we have aircraft traveling several times the speed of sound, and manmade satellites circling the earth at thousands of miles an hour. Some time ago it was reported that Russia had launched a 13-ton space station. Years ago I wrote a little book about these very space stations, and what they would lead to, entitled The Beast's Plan For World Domination. If you want to know what these space stations are going to lead to, you should send in for this book, that you may understand what is in store for our society.

But back to the words of the prophecy: "I will show wonders in heaven above...." These numerous man-created satellites and space stations circling the earth, and rockets taking off for the moon and for Mars and other planets are the wonders that we are being shown in the heaven above. While the next phrase is even more startling, "...and signs in the earth beneath...." Carefully observe that one word BENEATH. Walking people don't talk about the earth beneath. We just talk about the earth. Or should we think that God in heaven looks down upon the earth to see its signs? Nay, my friends. This is all written for the good of man. Therefore, before man could see signs on the earth beneath, he had to take to the air.

That very startling fact has been the situation now for many decades, ever since man commenced to fly. Great air bases have been built up, and vast air fields which are covered with signs for the men in the air to look down upon in order to properly land. Thereby, we see how the word of God is speaking of these very days in which you and I live.

Now for the finishing clause of the sentence, "...blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke." Blood and fire never have been signs for man, positively NEVER! But when we understand this in its proper spirit, that is, of the 21st century man who flies in the air and sees the signs on the earth beneath – and war comes, and there is blood and there is fire in the very heavens above, incidental to the warfare that man carries on to exterminate one another – then all these become signs unto us, that the end of the era is approaching.

Here Peter spoke of "vapor of smoke." As yet I have heard of no one who has given any rational explanation for this phrase, but for many years now, the spirit behind The Voice of Tomorrow has been making these strange sayings clear. LISTEN CAREFULLY: "vapor of smoke" commenced as a sign in the heavens when the giant bombers took off into high altitudes, and today has become a common sign as our jet aircraft streak through space. For, the immense amount of super-heated gases that are ejected by these great bombers and jet airliners create actual visible vapor when the moisture in the air is instantly transformed to steam. Today at almost any hour, we look up into the sky, if we are in a great city or near it, and we see these paths of misty white in the heavens. What you see is the effect of moisture turned into steam and then condensing again. Literally speaking, this becomes, as Peter said, "the vapor of smoke."

Then he goes on to say that the sun shall be turned into darkness. Hear The Voice of Tomorrow as I make plain to you things which are yet to come. In the titanic war of the nations which is now approaching close to hand, the great number of fission bombs exploding on earth will elevate into the stratosphere thousands of tons of pulverized earth. These will form dust banks, or dust clouds, high in the stratosphere. When such come between the earth and sun, light will be completely blocked out so far as man is concerned. Such darkness of the sun could last for hours, even in the middle of the day, and it is quite conceivable that such dust banks could become extensive enough to block out the sunlight for days on end. When these things you see, know that the very hour of Christ's bodily return to earth is very near at hand.

Then we are told that the moon will be turned into blood. Manifestly, the moon itself will not become blood, but this is symbolic language indicating death, yet not normal death but that death which arises incidental to warfare. It could also mean that some nation will put men on the moon, and when another nation sends their men to the moon, death will ensue.

And the spirit of God counsels you, that when you see those things come to pass, that you should call upon the Lord to the end that you may be saved, or preserved. And may I add, that IF YOU WAIT until those days, you could find it a bit on the LATE side. For it is written, "Today is the day of salvation" (II Cor. 6:2). You should not wait until you are in the same position as the drowning man who may grasp at a straw.

The Prophet Joel used one word when speaking of these days, which Peter dropped out: that word is "pillar," or "pillars of smoke." Now, pillars of smoke have never been signs for people, except in connection with smoke signals. (We could assuredly not look upon any column of smoke, whether from the chimney of big factories or that of smoke signals by some Indian tribe, perhaps, and think of that as a sign of the Lord's coming to earth again.) But ever since the summer of 1945, man has seen this pillar of smoke which the Prophet Joel spoke of by the Spirit of God. For, when the first atomic bomb was detonated, there appeared that column, or pillar of smoke, bridging earth and heaven! These are the pillars of smoke that God foresaw, and declared to become signs unto us, that when we see them we shall know that the time is approaching when HE SHALL RETURN to earth, terminating that great and notable day of the Lord.

HEAR The Voice of Tomorrow and repent; prepare yourself, for the time is short. These are closing days of our era, when the Lord Jesus Christ shall RETURN to earth to establish a KINGDOM IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, and the glory of His kingdom shall extend from sea to sea.

We are now living in the very days when there should be signs on the earth beneath, as well as in the heavens above us. When we look more carefully at the original word which has been rendered "signs," we perceive that it carries a deeper significance than that of merely being a token, or an indication that we are approaching the end of our era. For the word carries the connotation of a significance, or a meaning or a message, and that its message could comprise quite a lot.

These SIGNS in the sun and in the moon and in the stars have already commenced to appear, but our church leaders have not been sufficiently awake to call the peoples' attention to these mighty signs in the sun, the moon and the stars. We have sent exploring rockets to the moon. One was aimed at its Sea of Serenity. It landed as planned, but its bunch of cameras failed to take a single picture, and that is the very thing that we are aiming at: this great SEA OF PEACE and SERENITY for which we work and pray and are even willing to die for that others may have to enjoy. Of these things God has spoken that they should be considered as signs unto us. And by these facts we are expected to discern that the course man is now steering, aiming at the Sea of Serenity, or world peace, is going to fail; that it is not to return as much as one little glimpse of that Sea of Serenity for which we are now beginning to pant for here on earth. Yet the next exploring rocket that we sent to the moon was aimed at the Sea of Clouds and landed with cameras functioning at top perfection. This is God's way of telling us that that small group of devout Christians who have set their aim at the Sea of Clouds to forever be with the Lord in the air, shall not be disappointed, but shall return to earth with vision of the rapturous joys within the Sea of Clouds far above the earth.

ONLY in The Voice of Tomorrow will you find that amazing white light which makes our Bible LIVE and "TALK" as the very mouthpiece of God. The dark corners get floodlit and the strange sayings yield their treasures for the simple reason that it is of God, and unto God's glory (instead of for man).

"There shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars..." and on "...the earth beneath..." (Lk. 21:25; Acts 2:19). It is high time you wake up to the startling fact that these "signs" have now been with us a long time. But our spiritual leaders have been too dense to understand. ("Beware of surfeiting and drunkenness, lest that day come upon you unawares" [Lk. 21:34]. – Jesus) IF we look around with these words of the Lord in mind, it is not too difficult to understand the reason for today's spiritual blindness. And that "blindness" will continue up into the very end of our era. Not until the Lord pulls His MASTER STRATAGEM will our priesthood AWAKE, and the people panic....

You have been given a glimpse of the Sea of Serenity and our failure to take its picture (that is, to SEE for ourselves those conditions on earth), and we have glanced at the Sea of Clouds. These two moon-probes by Ranger Numbers 6 and 7 WERE PROPHETIC of things to come. And so was Mariner 4 we sent to Mars (beforehand I foretold its success and prophetic mission). But because of the many numbers involved in their prophecies, it is easier to understand when you see them on paper. Therefore have these prophetic SIGNS been put into a booklet (Signs in the Moon and Mars), which may be had for a donation (fully free to our regularly enrolled students). And you will stare in utter amazement. Because our time is so short, it is important that you see for yourself the detailing of these startling signs and events.
