II Corinthians 4:5-7

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7

"And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." Deuteronomy 6:5

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11:25

"And when He was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to Him, and asked Him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?" Mark 10:17

"And when they had sent away the multitude, they took Him even as He was in the ship. And there were also with Him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And He was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, Master, carest Thou not that we perish?" Mark 4:36-38

Greetings, friends! Today I ask you to make an experiment: just open the door of your mind to let the brightness of Christ's face shine into your life. Just go ahead and try that regularly for a week or so, and see what big a difference there will be in your life.

When I say to "open the door of your mind to the brightness of Christ's face," I refer to a mental attitude, and to a spoken invitation. There are two chief factors which close out from one's life the brightness of Christ's face, and those two I will enumerate. The first is an outright rejection by those who want nothing to do with Christ, while the second is by those who have accepted Him, but who are convinced that they have nothing to receive from the Christ now. It is what I sometimes refer to as having been so "brainwashed" that we cannot believe in the goodness of God for the here and for the now. And as I keep reminding you of the words of the Christ, "According to your faith be it done unto you" (Matt. 9:29).

Hear the words of the Lord, "If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (Jn. 15:7).

Have you never stopped to think about that wonderful promise? Did the question never arise in your mind as to why Christ didn't say, "If you will ask God to `save your soul,' it shall be done"? Christendom has become completely blind through talking about a soul, which it knows nothing about, while fully repudiating the plainest statements by the Lord. And while I am at it, may I shock you a little further by saying that in numerous instances throughout the Scripture, we find in our English translation the word "soul" when it has no business to be used at all. That has added to man's confusion. It is part and parcel of the tareseed sown by the Enemy. From time to time I expect to show you instances of these mistranslations; and some of them are very, very serious.

Have you ever heard of more wonderful words from the mouth of the Lord than those which I just quoted to you – "If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (Jn. 15:7)?

How is it possible to twist or interpret those words to apply to the sweet-by-and-by? You know very well that those words were intended to apply to this world for our here and now. Of course, we must observe that He laid down conditions with reference to that. There are two conditional clauses: "If ye abide in Me," and "If...My words abide in you." That takes us back to the first commandment. Let us look more closely at those words; that one word "abide," for instance. I am afraid that most of us are prone to think of it as `to just sit,' or `remain.' But when we look at it a little more carefully, we find that it is the same as living. That is, we must live in Christ; we must be conscious of His Presence; we must realize the truth of His words, when He said, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age" (Matt. 28:20). But when He used that word "abide" instead of "to live," it implied something more: that is, the Christ will become our house or dwelling place.

What is a house? Does it not shield us from the storm and weather? Does it not keep out the beasts and the gangsters when we are asleep? Does it not enable us to find our rest and sleep in perfect confidence and peace of mind? Does it not give us room to move about and express ourselves in our own individual ways? Is it not that which enables us to live our own individual lives? Is it not in our house where the food is stored, and where we have facilities to prepare our meals, that we may live and enjoy ourselves according to our means and inclination?

You see, my friends, the Christ never spoke one word out of place. As I just showed, the word actually implies to live in Him, yet He did not use that word "to live," for the simple reason that would not have included the great many implications which I have just mentioned to you. He expects us to study the record of His life to see precisely Who He was, and what He stood for. We must come to know and understand the Man, Christ Jesus. When we know and understand Him, then we take everything which goes to make up that complete picture, and call that the house in which we live: that is what He meant by "abiding in Him."

Then He transposed the situation by saying, "and if My words abide in you." It isn't enough to hear His words or to see them, nor yet to dream about them; it isn't enough that we put them in a bushel basket and hide them under the bed. As "abiding in Him" means to live our life in Him, so does it also imply the same by saying that His words must be fully alive in us, living in us, expressing through us, churning within us from morning till evening, until our thoughts are the thoughts of the Jesus, and our words the words of the Lord, and our conduct the actions of the Christ. And that, my friends, means just what I stated a moment ago: it takes us back to the first commandment – to love the Lord our God with all our heart, and with all our minds and with all our strength, with everything that we are (Matt. 22:37-38, Deut. 6:5). So, here the Lord went on to say that if, as and when we accept Him as a new House in which to live, and to so open the door of our minds that we let His words come into us and live there, fully and freely, then it does not matter what we invent, or desire for ourselves; we only have to ask for it and we shall receive it.

That is what I have been trying to bring across to you for a long time: that Jesus Christ was not the Savior of the human soul in the distant future, but rather the absolute Savior of the entire being here and now. And if the Savior of your entire being, well, that will include your soul, or whatsoever else goes to make up your entire being. And if He is our Savior now, then we need not worry about tomorrow, because there never has come a tomorrow, and there will never be a tomorrow: we can never get away from the eternal present. God lives in the present and so do we. So soon as we ignore the present and predicate our lives on the future, then do we become unrealistic. We are taking leave of our senses. We are doing disgrace to the intelligence which God gave us.

Never forget the words of God to Moses, Who sent him into Egypt to tell His people that "I Am" had sent him (Ex. 3:13-14). Why didn't He say "I Was" had sent him? Or that "I Will Be" was sending him? And remember the same words by the Christ to Martha when her brother Lazarus was dead in the tomb. He answered her, "I am the resurrection, and the life" (Jn. 11:25). He refused to admit to her that He would be the resurrection power, for the simple reason that He lived in the eternal present, and whatsoever He might be willing to do for someone at some time in the future, He was willing to do for that person right here and now. Therefore, "I am the resurrection, and the life." I wonder if most of you who have heard those words have not stopped after the word "resurrection" to swiftly forget about the other two words: "and life." That takes us back to John 15:7, which I just quoted to you – "If ye abide in Me...." Now let us put those two statements together: He said to Martha that He was then and there the Resurrection and the Life. And a little later, on that last evening with His disciples, He said that, "If ye abide in Me"; that is, to live in Me, He would grant them whatever they might ask for. Now I ask you in all humbleness: is the life of Christ outside of Him or within Him? If then we abide in Him, or live in Him, then of necessity do we partake of that life which is the Christ!!!

Admittedly this promise was given to the twelve disciples, yet God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). We see that by the previous verse where He was also talking about other people, saying, "if a man does not abide in Me" (Jn. 15:6). Now that "a man" could refer to any one of the disciples, or to anyone outside of them.

Let us jump four verses and read.

"These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." John 15:11

That one great joy which Jesus had was the absolute knowledge of the ever-present reality of the Father's Spirit with Him at any and all times. That is what He wanted His disciples to have. And why should they have that? In order that their joy might be absolutely complete!

You see, my friends, human nature has changed so little in over 19 centuries. Christendom today is much the same as the disciples were when they were crossing over the lake: they put Him to sleep on a pillow in the back of the boat so that they could loaf on the oars, gab about this and that, and maybe swap yarns. They lived in great awe of Him, and so they were happier when He was put to sleep. So is it with people today; they put Him to sleep in the hindermost part of their own little boat of life, and the first thing they know they run slam-bang into a violent storm. Not until they realize that they are about to perish, does it occur to them that maybe they should shout to the Lord to see if He can wake up. But here, as I have quoted to you repeatedly, He had a far different statement to make: "If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you...." That becomes a vastly different picture from putting Him to sleep on a pillow in the stern of the boat.

A moment ago I was trying to point out to you the implications of abiding, or living in Him. When that we thoroughly understand, then do we possess the keys to the kingdom of the heavens. But because the spiritual eyes of man have been blinded by the Lucifer teachings, which I sometimes refer to as the brainwashings, it becomes so difficult for the average person to see anything in the Scripture except the surface words; therefore, to help those who have not had the opportunity of making a study of the life of the Christ their own life work, I have prepared in written form The Kingdom Keys, which any person with normal intelligence can apply. With these Keys to the Kingdom, every person can come to that place where the promise of Christ becomes true: "...Ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (Jn. 15:7). Do not misunderstand me to say that so soon as you receive these printed "Keys to the Kingdom," that you can ask for a new Cadillac to be sitting in your drive just so soon as you can run out, but I do say that even a beginner can so use the Keys as to observe a distinct difference in one's life right from the beginning, and that for the better.

Let me ask a question of you misguided Christians: IF it is right, as Christendom commonly believes, that the atoning work on Calvary, wrought by the Son of God, was all for the "soul" of man – after the body has died, then WHY – yes, ten thousand times WHY – did not Jesus start talking to the rich young man about his "soul" when that young man asked him about the inheritance of eternal life? Do you get my question? Don't kid yourself that the young man was asking about any "soul" for the future; it is even far from certain that he believed in a "soul." He and those of his faith in that day, believed in a resurrection of the physical body: they believed that IF they were accounted worthy, they would, "in the resurrection at the last day" (Jn. 11:24), rise up from the grave and live again in a deathless, physical body here on earth. THAT is what the young man questioned: about how he could be certain of entering into that resurrection life. And THAT is also what Jesus the Nazarene taught, and it was very clearly stated by Him. I repeat to you: IF it was for man's SOUL in the mists of an unknown world and a hoped-for tomorrow, that the Son of God went to Calvary, then why, WHY didn't He start talking to this young man about his soul when at that very moment He had the chance of His life? I humbly ask you to give serious thought, and answer that question to yourself. And I challenge the priesthoods of our day to answer that question.

HEAR The Voice of Tomorrow: the reason He didn't talk to him about his soul, was because Jesus was not concerned over the "soul" and a hoped-for tomorrow! The Christ lived in the HERE, and wrought for our NOW. HE knew that IF He could get people to THINK RIGHT and live right NOW, then there was no cause left to worry over the soul in the future. "Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof" – said Christ (Matt. 6:34).

That is why I have put into printed form the "Keys to the Kingdom" for our here and for the NOW. Far too long have you been kidded along to believe that HELL today is quite all right so long as there are to be plenty of lollypops for your soul in the future. My dearly beloved, I warn you in all seriousness: you can't find any such a teaching in the Bible. It is the human, physical body which is the absolute masterpiece of God's Creation. Therefore, into human flesh came the God-Spirit, to live in the flesh, to atone for the sins committed in the flesh. And IF that He did, then are we FREE! Shout, beloved, because our redemption was a work of perfection by the very Son of God. It was for our HERE, and for our NOW – that you and I might live the life of the BLESSED – right here and now!

That is one of the reasons God spoke to me on June 22nd, 1965, saying: "Call My people together," then shortly repeated for emphasis: "CALL MY PEOPLE TOGETHER."

Far too long have you been a bondslave in the kingdom of the Devil under the power of Lucifer! Christ is calling you to "COME OUT" from that enslavement – to live as a rejoicing son or daughter of Jesus Christ in the HERE and in the NOW. IF you will not believe Him for the HERE, how can you believe Him for the future? IF He will not help you in the NOW, what is your hope for "tomorrow"?
