II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God." Ruth 1:16
Blessed was Ruth, for in Naomi she had found the beautiful: that beauty she refused to relinquish..."Ask me not to leave you..." (Ruth 1:16). What was the result of that fanatical devotion to beauty? (Naomi means just that – `pleasant and delightful.') She became wedded to Boaz which means `cheerfulness.' When we are hopelessly in love with the beauty of our Lord and Savior, ...cheerfulness becomes the natural consequence. When this bears fruit, Obed (`serving') is born...we happily serve.
