II Corinthians 4:5-7

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Deep in Him the serenity of His peace is absolute. But in the world is tribulation. How come we should rejoice because HE overcame the world? Rest in this glorious fact: that while He met and endured His every temptation, trial, judgment, lashing and final crucifixion, which was Hell intensified throughout more than five and a half hours upon the cross, there were also constantly generated within Him a multitude of life-seed impregnated with His strength to endure and to overcome (I Pet. 1:23). That treasury He made available unto all who turn face about, deciding to live for Him, instead of being "someone" in the devil's kingdom. Consequently, that constitutes that rock foundation, lest you should ever falter and fail. To that end did He speak to and by His Prophets, saying: "I am the first and with the last; I Am He" (see Isa. 41:4).
