II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
October 21st
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9
Were God a man among us, no doubt He would be known by some "John Henry," and append it whenever He issued a proclamation. And presumably His handwriting would be so distinctly different that we would get to know it at a glance. But since God is "A SPIRIT" and not a human in our midst, naturally "His ways are not our ways." Therefore we can look for no strange appearing signature. Nevertheless, His "signature" is equally as clear and FAR MORE CERTAIN than that of the earth's reigning sovereigns. Even intricately involved signatures can be duplicated by clever forgers. But THE SIGNATURE OF ALMIGHTY GOD IS NOT SUBJECT TO SUCH DUPLICATIONS! AND YET HE HAS INWROUGHT HIS GLORIOUS NAME IN GOLD AND SILVER AND FINE LINEN, AS WELL AS IN WOOD AND BASER METALS; YES, AND IN EVERY "BOOK" HIS SPIRIT HAS INSPIRED, WITH A CRISSCROSSED INTERLACING TO DEFY ERASING BY THE VANDALISTIC HAND OF MAN! ELSEWHERE, TOO, HAS HE PLACED HIS NAME: THE DEAREST OF WHICH – perhaps – ARE COUNTLESS THOUSANDS OF HUMAN HEARTS AS LIVING REPOSITORIES FOR ITS GLORY. But unfortunately, of the latter I cannot demonstrate to you on paper, for THAT can only come through personal experience.
