II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"...I am the Almighty God; walk before Me, and be thou perfect." Genesis 17:1
Without an absolute and very sincere CONFORMING UNTO THE HOLY PATTERN IN EVERY DETAIL, there can be no REentry to Eden, nor even any substantial spiritual progress in your own life! God does not accept HALF measures, neither will He settle for "the lesser of two evils"! Such ideas are of man. God is an absolutely PERFECT Being: His Laws are PERFECT; the Pattern He has given us to portray these Laws is meticulously PERFECT, and the REQUIREMENTS of the LAW of His Being are EXACTING and INEXORABLE! MEET His requirements and the portals shall spring open; fail in the minutest detail and the angel with the glittering sword forever keeps you out! (This statement has no bearing whatsoever on that which is generally referred to as "salvation.")
At this stage some will feel that THE ROAD IS TOO NARROW, and seek no more of the majestic Temple Pattern. Yet others like Peter will say, "Where shall we go? To whom can we turn?" realizing that here indeed IS THE MYSTIC HIGHWAY BACK INTO THE PRESENCE OF THE LIVING GOD! "IF ANY MAN WILL COME AFTER ME, LET HIM DENY HIMSELF AND TAKE UP HIS CROSS AND FOLLOW ME" (Matt. 16:24)!
The Lord could have elaborated, or He might have said a little more clearly:
"IF you wish to attain unto My spiritual stature, then be prepared to DENY YOURSELF (your SELF-interests). Having done so with great resolution in your heart, FOLLOW ME through the Eastern Gate of the Tabernacle Pattern, get cleaned up at the brazen LAVER, proceed then immediately to the SACRIFICIAL Altar where you get rid of ALL that spiritually encumbers (your progress). Then follow Me into the Holy place and stand before the golden Candelabra until its LIGHT permeates your inner being, and turn and partake of the hallowed and unleavened bread on which the frankincense has burned. Thereafter MUCH incense must freely burn on the golden Altar before the final veil, and when the Sanctuary is loaded with its fragrance, take the blood and follow Me into THE HOLIEST that the awesome Presence of the Shekinah Glory may find a place of REST more hallowed than that which is built by human hands! There fully abide in the Power of its measure until God speaks to you clearly!"
