II Corinthians 4:5-7

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"...If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." Matthew 16:24

Has Christ Jesus – the Lord – BECOME GLORIFIED IN YOU?

Maybe you attend church regularly. If that has helped you to live a more commendable life, then such attendance has been good and profitable for you. IF you have managed to keep within the law, that is somewhat to your credit. IF you have won the respect and admiration of many by being a help and comfort, THAT is very commendable. But IF you have managed to "bear your cross" without a whimper – even exulting in the privilege to bear that cross (knowing THAT cross to be the Lord's manifest of His Will-in-love for you) – then is Christ GLORIFIED in you!!! (It is assumed that your thus having "borne the cross," is because of your Christian faith.)

You need not have been a great leader, nor of eminence – such as a doctor, priest or evangelist; no, not even the president or secretary of a local social club or charitable organization; but IF within you Christ Jesus is being glorified from day to day by your willingly and happily "bearing your cross" to follow Him, YOU ARE "GLORIFYING" JESUS CHRIST!

That which you are doing may be of great importance; but the manner and the "spirit" in which it is done is of even greater importance! And IF it be in a lowly station, it might even be of greater importance and "glory" than that of the Head of State….
