II Corinthians 4:5-7

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with Him an hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father's Name written in their foreheads." Revelation 14:1

I think it is human for any young bride to be happy on the day of her marriage, and very especially so if the groom is a person well known, outstanding in the community, and of great importance. Frankly, I doubt that we can comprehend, no, not even imagine the depth and the height and the intensity of joy unspeakable which shall fill and overspill that throng of 144,000 which receive the Father's Name in their foreheads, and at that moment, become the "body" of the Lord Jesus Christ Who shall then be their Head. Our Lord and His bride will then constitute the one and only true and perfect "man and wife" where, from the throne of reason (Head), all decisions are made, and orders issued, while "Eve" is but the body which is a helpmate unto her husband, granting him the comfort and joy of seeing his every request perfectly implemented. That "Eve" will never open her face to question, but in love unfeigned and faith unswerving, execute to perfection every command to the last wish of her Lord and Master.

Four thousand years did God wait, and man struggle to arrive at that stage where one young maiden was found fit to become the mother of the awaited Messiah, and where one man was found worthy to be her husband. Almost two thousand more years of human suffering, anguish, and struggle has come and gone; Christ in His patience has waited for the "bride" to come of age (she's now in her 20th year). He beholds the bloom of her spirit youth, but her body is still developing. Soon the Lord shall behold the fullness of her beauty, then shall His Voice vibrate multiplied millions of atoms.
