"...she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Genesis 3:6

You know the story of the Garden episode, even though comparatively few understand it. But for the moment I am only concerned over this one point: Adam listened, and yielded to Eve (his emotions). Consequently he got into disfavor with God and came under judgment: he was booted out of the beautiful garden to wander as an exile from God, (the meaning of the word "Nod"). Therein has "pantless Adam" dwelled ever since, listening to "Eve" who has a ring in his nose and leads him wherever she wishes.....

Hear God's word to Adam: "because you listened to the voice of your wife...cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow shall you eat of it all the days of your life; thorns and thistles shall it bring for you, and in the sweat of your face shall you eat bread – until you return to the ground...."

The ideal "sons of God" are entrenched upon the throne of reason; "Eve" is but a comforting companion and helper. Whenever she starts to tell Adam what to do, the sons of Jesus Christ put her in her place! That is why Jesus shot back to His mother when she commenced suggesting what He ought to do: "Woman, what have I to do with you" (Jn. 2:4)?

...Now, we see human emotions at the helm: "Eve" has become a despot! "Adam" seldom gets in a word and his voice is weak and trembling.

God's ideal is for Adam to be "King of the castle," to fully rule upon the throne of reason, with Eve at the best to only temper his judgment with love.
