II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defense, and the God of my mercy." Psalm 59:17
Get this clearly: IF it be in your own personal life, or if in your land, or if in the world at large, the sky grows black and lightening forks cut through from the east into the west, with thunder-cracks jarring you off your feet – THAT is the time to lift your voice in mighty praise. For it is the evidence that God is on His Throne: that He has lifted His Hand and commenced to speak. And IF your own life gets under pressure, THAT is the evidence of His great love for you. Wherefore, let your praise and joy-shouts in intensity grow. For He wants you closer – even deeper in His bosom where beauty and serenity is absolute. Cut all pleading for preservation or for the lifting of the pressure: but rather plead for that strength which enables you to bear and to sing aloud at the fullness of His pleasure to you-ward.
