II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"...in the days of His flesh when He had offered up prayers and supplications WITH STRONG CRYING AND TEARS unto Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared, though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; and being MADE PERFECT, He became the author of eternal salvation unto them that OBEY HIM." Hebrews 5:7-9
Salvation and LIFE are the promises unto the believers in Jesus Christ; but the beauty and grandeur and majestic scope of the greater promises are only to be realized through the measure of one's faith – which determines the life he lives and the amount of "overcoming" he achieves.... The fairy's idle dream that one sob of repentance on the deathbed and a looking then unto Christ shall waft that soul to Heaven – forever strumming a harp of gold – HAS NO BASIS IN TRUTH! Yet such end-time repentance and embryonic faith is not without its reward!
Clearly said the Christ that the Cross had to be lifted daily IN FOLLOWING HIM (into the exaltation). And those Christians who shirk the Cross today shall not be wafted Heavenward, but shall have their share in the resurrection, or in the "lived not again until the thousand years were expired."
...Over and over again and again must it be repeated, that "salvation" is but the annulling of the "sentence of death" upon "the soul that sinneth." That "salvation" opens the door unto truly unlimited GLORIES, yet by itself does not bestow those glories! Wherefore, sleeper: AWAKEN!
