But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"For who hath despised the day of small things?..." Zechariah 4:10
This I declare with emphasis: unless or until the very little things take on great magnitude in your sight, shall you remain but little in His sight. In the days of His flesh, the very Creator of our earth and all that herein is, was not too high-minded to mingle with the lowliest of people, and to carefully observe the little things. HE did not fail to notice the widow's mite – yet that was all she had. HE had seen some little sparrow fall to the ground, and chose to thereby illustrate how God watches over even such. What of the infinitesimal value of one hair on your head? Yet God has them numbered!
Did He not say: "Be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect"? (See Matt. 5:48). Until you commence looking to and taking serious thought of the little things, the way ahead unto your perfection will be mighty long and tortuous....
A small stone picked from an insignificant brook hurled by a man unknown, except by his family, slew a giant and spelled victory in an important battle. Now, the power of the microscopic atom (particles too small for the human eye to see), makes great and mighty nations cower in fear.
Is it not written "For who has despised the day of small things?" (Zech. 4:10). This is a great truth of tremendous importance and has numerous applications, even far more than you suspect. It has been said: "Think big!" But I say to you: first and carefully think small: overlook no detail and dwell much and long upon the least. Then will our great God have a chance to work through you.
