II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:8
Today I greet you in the name of the Alpha and Omega, even of Him Who "was the first and Who will be with the last" (Isa. 41:4): that includes you. Therefore it is right that you should shout and sing with great joy, because there was a place made for you in His plan, and without you it cannot be finished. Naturally, the plan is going to be concluded gloriously, which means that you have got to stand in your place at the appointed time, in order that the universal celebration may reach its crescendo pitch as every member exuberantly praises Christ our Savior, and proclaims Him King of kings and Lord of all.
Yet this greeting of great joy has its implications: it even carries a serious warning that you must be out and about the Father's business, and to see to that your house is clean and decorated, even a fit place to entertain a visit by the Lord of this universe.
