II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"And His feet (were) like unto fine brass, AS IF THEY BURNED IN A FURNACE...." Revelation 1:15
That is, His feet were a fluxing, molten brass. The feet typify man's lowest or basest physical attributes. Here they were fluxed in the heat of His fire – with all dross eliminated. THAT is the meaning of the "fiery"(flaming) serpent of BRASS elevated on the xulon (tree) for the people's preservation: the TWO (parts) from the LIFE-RECEPTOR must be alloyed, or fused with ONE (part) of LIFE from God, that the consuming fire of His Spirit may burn up all dross, LIFTING IT UNTO GOD.
THIS did Jesus – the Son of God, that LIFE might become available "UNTO WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH INTO HIM." Observe, the promise is "LIFE" – even as is the free "gift of God" (Rom. 6:23). ALL who looked upon the brazen serpent LIVED; but did all of them enter into the promise of inheritance? Far from it. Even thus is it with those who look unto Him Who ALLOYED THE LIFE OF GOD with the seed of man – that ALL might receive of HIS LIFE: it depends upon what depth of extent WE BELIEVE INTO HIM. For, to the extent that we believe INTO His Being, to THAT EXTENT do we enter into the LIFE-INHERITANCE with the Son. Some receive "30-fold, some 60-fold, and some 100-fold." THUS was it also with Israel in those days: most of them received their lot in the "wilderness" of this world; some went to VIEW the Kingdom-land afar off, while a few did go in to enjoy the FULLNESS of His promise!
THUS was also His reply to Nicodemus: for unless one is "born again he cannot SEE the Kingdom of God" (Jn. 3:3). These are they who VIEW its glories. While in verse 5, He tells us that to enter into the Kingdom we must be "born (or generated) out of the water and of His Spirit."
