II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"...Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not." Exodus 20:20
It is human nature to rush from one thing to another; to be impatient to ACHIEVE or to RECEIVE. Yet God is in no hurry, neither are we told that Jesus Christ ever sprinted, nor even hastened His step to accomplish a thing. Every move and every word was deliberate, and with A SLOW, RHYTHMIC MAJESTY . So get it clear here and now that a rush to cram your mind with facts and new knowledge is NOT going to bang open the portals for you! Neither will it net you an increased measure of GRACE . But it is that which WELLS OUT OF YOUR HEART which is of IMPORTANCE: the Truths which become a reality in your life, being LIVED! These Truths – in spiritual food – are like meals you ordinarily eat: NOT the great bulk you can gulp down in a hurry which will give you greater growth and strength, but rather the carefully chosen and small portions of food well masticated which, when ASSIMILATED, build up to and net the best results.
There is much for you to DO, and learn to do WELL! God is going to TEST you and try you out in numerous ways . Think not that it was but an idle pastime with God when He asked Abraham to ascend the mountain and offer up his well-beloved son – Isaac . Clearly, and in unmistakable words are we told that He came to "PROVE THEM," to TEST and to TRY them (read Ex. 16:4 and Deut. 8:2,16).
God is in no need of the evidence, but YOU are! It is for OUR GOOD, NOT for His assurance! Wherefore, settle it in your heart here and now that IF you wish to gain POWER WITH GOD, then you must learn to DO and to execute your part with great diligence . When, then, you are FULLY PROVEN, God will meet with you.
