II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be." Revelation 22:12
Knowledge brings responsibility.
If you were anxious to enter into the fullness of His Kingdom here and now, the matter is simple of attainment! But bear in mind, so long as the attitude is; "Maybe I will try it for a while: perhaps it might be all right" – and similar thought-trends, then know that you are not ready and will receive nothing miraculous from God. You will receive, but only proportionate to your conforming to His Truth. And should you be unwilling to conform to His Truth-laws, you will also receive from the Hand of God, but "rewards" of a strikingly different nature. God is a loving Father. And although patient and forgiving, when once He has seen that His child knows the truth, then thereafter He expects real effort demonstrated to comply with His love-law. Failure to do so results in ever-increasing grief and disillusionment, to the end that it shall engender a passionate will to return to the Father's house! Centuries before the Christ, God spoke through His Prophet: "Let him take hold of My strength, and he shall make peace with Me!"
