II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him." Nahum 1:7
And then there is the relaxation and recreation which a hard working person requires. Even in casting and waiting for a fish to nibble, or in "putting" for that distant hole, the Truth of God as manifest and accomplished though Jesus Christ can be so predominant and ALL pervading that the person is largely OUT of this world!
You are talking to a friend on the street, in the office or your home. There is no need to insult him! There is no need of your asking him the question of an ardent CHURCH-man: "Are you saved?" You need not ask him to join you in prayer or Scripture study! But instead of launching into effusiveness about the weather prevailing, it is just as easy for you to say in substance: "Yes, God is being very indulgent to usward; I wonder how many truly appreciate His GOODNESS and will bless His Name?" Or maybe the weather is plainly "rotten" and would ordinarily call for a tirade against it! In such cases the substance of your remarks can just as easily be: "God is ALWAYS GOOD: He knows full well that IF our blessings are only materially great we become spiritually torpid and go to moral degradation and ultimate material ruin!" Such remarks on your part, and your consistent REFUSAL to enter into the common, senseless and useless type of conversation; your persistent trait of turning conversation to GOD, to His GOODNESS, to His JUSTICE and His LOVE for man accomplishes a TWOfold objective: First for yourself it is helping to bring SPIRITUAL BALANCE into your otherwise lopsided life. Secondly, it is setting you APART in the thoughts of your friend by repeatedly bringing to his consciousness the overruling power and Presence and goodness of God.
