II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"...ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts." II Peter 1:19
HEAR my words from out the realm
which is the ageless mists to mortal man,
and seal them to your soul's delight.
Deep and long has been the night,
and vigilant his toil
– tares to sow and good seed spoil.
But soon shall blaze the whitest light,
consuming shadows etched by night.
Whatever knows a taint of self
has not the Father's LOVE.
TEARS – from ought but joy or compassion
spring from out the carnal mind:
they are the well-springs
of the "deaf – and blind."
Sing aloud from day to day o're the perfection of His work,
then shall the joy it invokes within His heart
rebound to doubly bless your days.
