II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten ." Revelation 3:19
Never forget those meaning-fraught words of God, "Let Us make man in Our image, [and] after Our [Own] likeness" (Gen. 1:26). When this we stop to analyze, we realize immediately that those propensities which are common to normal and right parents are also basic to the nature of very God. Therefore, since it is basic to the normal parent to ever be happy and willing to counsel, guide, and direct the children unto the children's greatest welfare, so of necessity is that a basic attribute of God the Father.
You should therefore decide here and now what your proper attitude ought to be. Are you going to emulate the foolishness and ego of the teenaged youngster who thinks that he knows best? That is the attitude that nearly all of Christendom has put into practice perpetually; and as a consequence, we behold them knocked from pillar to post in an unending series of trouble, grief, and disillusionment.
On the other hand, should you find it possible to arrive at the conviction that your heavenly Father knows best; and if you are willing to hear His counsel and to practice that conviction every day, then will you find that as from this moment your life will commence to be transformed into a very happy song.
