II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
It isn't sufficient to be singing songs and hymns throughout the day, but so soon as some difficulty arises, or your foolish expectations fail to manifest, to commence lamenting your "luck" or to berate your fellow man. When you are "exalting the Christ `out of the earth,'" then you also know that even to the minutest iota of all that which befalls you, is of Christ and through His love for you. Consequently it MAKES YOU HAPPY: you rejoice because of Him, and you praise Him aloud! Every fall becomes a stepping stone, every trial and tribulation converts to "manna," while every grief and disillusionment adds unto the glorification of Christ.
