II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"I will praise Thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto Thee among the nations. For Thy mercy is great above the heavens: and Thy truth reacheth unto the clouds." Psalm 108:3-4
When the disciples of the Lord were struggling on the oars, trying to make headway against the storm while angry waves spilled into the boat beyond their capacity to bail out, they suddenly remembered their Lord asleep on a pillow in the back of the boat! One of them rushed to Him, commencing to shake Him violently, for He was in deep, very deep sleep. (That is precisely the situation in the life of the average Christian of today: he has permitted the Lord of Life to enter into a deep sleep, far, far back in his "ship of life"; while personally struggling with the storms of life completely forgetful of the fact that the Master is present.)
Then the Lord calmly arose, stretched forth His arms to the boisterous sea, and said:
"Peace, be still!"
Then turning to the disciples He said:
"Why are you so fearful: have you no faith?"
Let the beauty of these truths enter deep into your heart. Conscientiously and persistently, put them into practice. If you do throughout a period of time, I give you my solemn assurance: you shall commence to see a tremendous difference in your life, and you will also become aware of a still greater change within yourself.
God bless you! (And He surely will, so soon as you have entered into the perpetual consciousness of your true relationship to the Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.) At bedtime, return thanks to God for His guidance and protection.
