II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified Him." Luke 23:33
Often I marvel at the folly of multitudinous people who have gone so afoul of the law of the land that they find themselves in an inextricable fix! All they had was not sufficient to appease the law of the land. But then their Wondrous Father, hearing of their plight, went to stand face to face with their judge. His wealth was great enough to appease the judge, yet it required every dollar He had. Although His wealth sufficed to make the restitution, yet the law of the land also required His death! Because the love for His own was so great, He willingly yielded up His life in order that His foolish and errant children might live in full enjoyment of all that for which He had previously labored to provide! Yet so soon as the penalty for their past crimes had been paid for in full and the sentence of death lifted, they quickly forgot the horrendous suffering and sacrifice made for them by their Father! Shortly after the case was dismissed in court by the Great Judge, they commenced to "live high off the hog" and to indulge their every carnal propensity!
I speak of the Christ-Spirit Who is the true Father of every indwelling spirit within humanity (Heb. 12:9).
Does it ever occur to you how horrendously your true Father, the Christ-Spirit, endured suffering for you? Salve not your conscience by saying that His suffering was for all of Creation! It was for you!
