II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"He was oppressed, and He was afflicted...." Isaiah 53:7
Have you ever dwelt on the fact that for every deep breath He took on the Cross, He had to raise Himself, and that at the cost of hellish pain in the living, lacerated flesh adjacent the cruel nails which transfixed Him there?
You who squawk, murmur and complain as did Israel in the wilderness, did you ever stop to realize that all of your griefs put together are little more than a drop in the bucket as contrasted to what our Lord and Savior took – for you? You who blissfully blabber to run down a brother or sister that your own ego might be vicariously exalted, does it never occur to you that the Lord Who lived, suffered and died for you said: "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me" (Matt. 25:40)!??
Do you ever stop to ponder the words of the Lord Who said in His day, "scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! ...Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell" (Matt. 23:29,33)? Or, how can you hope to escape that judgment which catapults you into the fires of Gehenna?? Beloved friend, student, and reader, where do you stand?
Recently, I came across words by a brother expressing this sentiment, "we can now work with, instead of at each other!" It isn't often that I come across one so rich in truth and so much to the point in right. I have seen many placards expressing worthy sentiments, but never one approaching the greatness of the one just mentioned. I think of its worth so great, that a placard in suitable lettering and color should be in every home and school, in every church and place of employment. Personally, I might word it like this: "Let us now work with, instead of at one another!" But a master in English might find words to express it more effectively; and I also believe that a good business head could easily turn it into many dollars.
