II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
August 17th
"...we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Romans 5:3-5
BE NOT IMPATIENT! Chafe not at "your luck"! It is all of God and FOR YOUR GOOD! It could even be for the good of your friend! First (and as often is the case), your faith and perseverance need more cultivation. Secondly, THAT PRECISE TIME IS NOT THE RIGHT MOMENT in which you should accomplish the deed. At that very moment it may be that your friend is not at home. Or it may be that just then it would be in your greater interest to be home; or, at any rate NOT THERE.
* CREDIT GOD * WITH KNOWING HIS BUSINESS! * (Thousands of angelic messengers are on constant duty, overseeing every phase of human conduct; there is NEVER a "slip up"!) *
RELAX, and REassess your idea. You may rest assured that the time IS NOT YET. It could be but momentary. And should you try again a little later, only to encounter fresh obstacles to thwart the plan, STOP SHORT! GOD IS TALKING TO YOU, even though it be through a stubborn mule refusing to budge! HE is saying:
"Ho there! What's your hurry? Can't you see that I'm against you?"
It could be that some DETAIL of the idea or plan is off base and needs revamping. But above all, be sure that GOD IS LEADING – IF you are one of Abram's children.
