II Corinthians 4:5-7

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on (lit. into) Him Whom He hath sent." John 6:29

It is not sufficient that a person "believe ON" Jesus Christ (as commonly understood), but one must believe INTO Him! Precisely WHAT does "believing INTO Him" imply? HOW? Did He not answer Thomas on that last night? I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE (Jn. 14:5-6)! WHAT was "His way"? From a tender age to "be about the Father's business." Later to be obedient to the ordinances. He was never concerned as to where and when should come His next meal, or what to wear or where to sleep! He was NEVER concerned about politics or His own life and welfare; but He was EVER concerned over the FATHER's Will. The details and execution of the Father's Will approached a mania with Him.

THAT becomes "the way" for us. Our first and last thoughts in the day must be of Him and the pleasure of His Will for us that day. We refuse point blank to get concerned over anything, but remain as "a little child" before Him. IF we have an important job or business which requires our concentrated attention almost moment from moment, well, we aren't even in the running! But as "a little child" we perpetually behold the Father's face: trusting, admiring, and praying to grow towards His stature.
