II Corinthians 4:5-7

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

"…They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Mark 2:17

After our feet have been placed on the Path of the Cross, we must perpetually strive to rise ABOVE "the human" and become Christ-LIKE!

I doubt not that some have grieved, and repented, and maybe said within their heart: "Never, never again!"

But can you envision any lawbreaker – when caught – not being "sorry"? And by the time of being in jail some days, would he not be eager to say he was sorry, and that never, NEVER AGAIN would he be so foolish? And IF he thought that putting it across strongly to officers of the Law, that he might be set free, would he not become very VOCAL???

Yet the same lawbreaker, after a year or so in jail – when once more at liberty – usually returns to some form of crime.

It calls for time, MUCH TIME for the fires of grief and remorse over our serious errors to BURN CLEAN the human heart. (But know that the repentant sinner is a prime candidate for Heaven's dazzling GLORY!!!)

It was NOT the righteous which Christ came to call, but great SINNERS unto repentance! And it is the most grievous sinners – which become the prime candidates for Heaven's glory!!! That is, IF they come to full repentance throughout a period of time, as already stated – for the fires of REMORSE to burn clean the human heart.

And WHY are such the prime candidates for Heaven's Glory-land? Because when once they are convinced that they have COME CLEAN, and have attained unto the Lord's complete forgiveness, then do such PAST sinners LOVE THE LORD with greater intensity than do the "righteous which have ever lived uprightly."
