II Corinthians 4:5-7
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

" My lord delayeth his coming." Matthew 24:48
I have repeatedly written about the fact that "the Lord has delayed His coming." And that this is in perfect keeping with the pattern set previously in the life of His Israel people. God through Moses commanded Israel to go in to possess the land. In other words, the time was at hand: the opportunity was theirs. But they refused, so they wandered 40 years in the wilderness. Again in the days of the Lord Jesus Christ, His chosen people had the opportunity to receive Him, to enthrone Him, and thus realize the fullness of the Kingdom then and there. But they refused and chose to murder Him. Those were two opportunities, and two rejections; but when He comes again, He will be received.
